The Smashing Pumpkins is a band American alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1988. [1] Often, especially in the beginning, the group was listed in grunge style because it formed the band in the same heyday of that style.
After dissolving the December 2, 2000, the band announced through its official website on 20 April 2006, a meeting and recording a new album. That meeting finally took place on May 22, 2007, with the first live performance of the group, after seven years in the Le Grand Rex Theatre in Paris, France.
